Jamie Stern produced a dozen of our classic Grayson Wingback Chairs, upholstered in a vibrant yellow velvet, for the new Amtrak Lounge of the Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station. Located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, this iconic NYC landmark was originally the site of the city’s main post office, the James A. Farley Building, before undergoing extensive renovations to convert it into an expansion of the commuter rail station.

Additionally, Jamie Stern created three wholly custom inset Axminster carpets for various waiting areas of the lounge. The carpets feature rich blue tones that playfully juxtapose the bright yellow of the Graysons. This combination adds a subtle touch of contemporary style to the timeless beauty of Penn Station. This historic project was specified by New York City’s own FX Collaborative.
