Jamie Stern produced 13 custom area rugs for the Knotel at Wyncatcher, a new high-end coworking space located in Miami. The project included unique adaptations of Convergence and Block Form from the STRIA Collection as well as De Chelley, Ganges, Vishnu and Trident. Each rug is made from 100% natural fibers and produced in a range of constructions, from hand-tufted to flatweave.

Each piece was tailored in size and color to define spatial zones, group furniture and support the project’s hospitality-inspired design intent. Designer Kim Kolkovich, Head of Design at Knotel, noted that the rugs “help balance out each area of the work club. Some act as a natural backdrop while others introduce a pop of color or texture.”

Reflecting on the collaboration, Kolkovich shared, “I worked closely with my local sales rep who guided me through the customization process. She made it easy to go through the pattern and pom selection. The renderings and strike-offs ensured I was receiving exactly what I was looking for.” The result is an integration of performance and design—rugs that withstand a high-traffic environment while adding warmth, texture and cohesion to a multi-use space.
