Shagreen is one of Jamie Stern’s most popular and eye-catching embossed leathers. Taking its inspiration from natural stingray hides, the leather’s iconic texture is accentuated by a contrasting hand-wiped finish. The resulting product is a complex leather with a deep, tactilely pleasing pattern and a rich, two-tone coloration.
The 16 beautiful colorways of Shagreen include all-time classics like Aquamarine, Blue Danube and Caviar, which are available as whole hides or sides (half hides). Additionally, these colors are protected by a robust semi-aniline finish and can all be produced on either full or corrected top grain crust depending on a project’s needs and budget. With custom colors also available upon request, there is no design scheme or color palette that Shagreen’s gorgeous texture will not complement.
