Jamie Stern produced a pair of classic Oliver Sofas for the Soho headquarters of ROKT, an ecommerce technology company. The sofas feature a precise, boxy frame with two loose back cushions and a loose bench seat cushion to seamlessly bridge the gap between simple, clean aesthetics and unparalleled comfort. To complement the timeless elegance of the Olivers, both sofas were upholstered in our beautiful pure aniline leather, Antiquity Goldenrod.
Each hide of Antiquity boasts a great deal of unique personality stemming from its hand-applied antiqued finish. This finishing process gives the sofas a bold, artisanal look that, for this project, subtly subverts the traditional understanding of a corporate space. Additionally, the pure aniline finish will allow the Olivers to continue developing character as the leather breathes, ages and develops a patina, becoming more sophisticated with time and use.
This trendy Manhattan office space was designed by New York City’s own Artisan.
