New York City dining room with ding chairs by Jamie Stern

Jamie Stern manufactured eight bespoke dining chairs for the open floor dining area and sitting room of a gorgeous Midtown Manhattan apartment. The chic space was designed by the New York-based Pembrooke & Ives and boasts an unbeatable view of the city including the Empire State Building.

These unique dining chairs feature precisely crafted exposed wood frames and tapered legs which were finished with a custom stain to match the existing dining table. The pieces’ tight seats and rolled backs are upholstered with one of Jamie Stern’s most popular leather qualities, Barcelona, in a custom subdued teal.

Barcelona was an ideal selection for this project as it is renowned for the ease with which custom colors can be created. Additionally, each hide receives a robust semi-aniline finish to protect it against scratching, staining and fading in sunlight. This is a leather which will look beautiful from day one but also retain its color, texture and vibrancy for years to come.

Together, the custom leather, chair design and wood finish add a highly personal, one-of-a-kind touch to this elegant residential project.
