Jamie Stern manufactured over 5,000 square yards of Axminster carpet, eight of our signature FLOAT Dining Chairs and a series of custom banquettes for the Astra Hotel Seattle, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel by Marriott. Located in the South Lake Union neighborhood, the Astra is just a short walk from some of the Emerald City’s most popular tourist destinations including the Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture, Seattle Center and even the Amazon Campus.
The custom Axminster carpeting adorns various public spaces and hallways in a variety of distinctive patterns, ranging from the geometric and highly detailed to the more abstract and impressionistic.
The FLOAT Dining Chairs and a custom version of our Tacoma Banquette can be found in the main lobby of the hotel right off Terry Avenue. The Tacoma’s serpentine body provides ample seating for hotel guests while also boasting a number of impressive aesthetic features including its elegantly curved frame, a subtle recessed base and precise vertical channeling along its entire seat and back. A number of other bespoke Jamie Stern banquettes and sectionals were also produced for various areas throughout the chic new hotel, which was designed by Stanford Hotels.
